It's been a long day but we both have managed to get through it without to many problems or issues. YEA!!! The radiation Dr. got the last of the marks lined up and he goes for the "gusto" tomorrow. His radiation is for 6 weeks at 3:15 Monday - Friday. Between his appointments I took him to Dairy Queen for a small hot fudge sundae (lunch). Then on to Chemo. His appointment was at 1:00 and we left at 5:30. He talked with Dr Mattern, they went over his procedures and then they ran 5 different bags of "stuff" through his picc. He managed to sleep through most of it. His appointment for that is every Monday at 11:00 am for 16 weeks. It shouldn't take that long next time. She said it usually takes about 3 hours. He may possibly feel a little rough in about 3 - 4 days but then maybe not. They said everyone is different. So, hopefully he will be one of the ones that will go through it fairly easy. I have him settled in for the night. Hopefully we will have a restful night.

  1. Sandy & Wilroy,
My thoughts and prayers are with you both. Life is like a car race...right turn, right turn, right turn but it is those left turns that test us. Your friends and family are in the pits rooting for you to get back out on the track. Wilroy, you are going to win this race!
